DECKING
At Smart & Simple Home Improvements, our decking installations are of the highest quality. Our customers have said that they could ‘park a car on this deck!’ due to its structural qualities and enhanced construction.
For example, we use:
- 6″ x 2″ pressure treated timber for joists (or minimum 5″ x 2″ if height is an issue)
- 145mm (w) x 28mm (d) Cambridge style pressure treated decking boards
- EasyPad foundation system for durable, heavy duty decks, capable of supporting up to 1.5 tonnes per Pad OR for standard decks, 4″ x 4″ pressure treated timber posts cemented into the ground
- Unique ‘under joist’ support timber braces
- Reduced joist spacing, ensuring no deck ‘bounce’
- Reduced foundation / support post spacing, ensuring less load to spread
- 5″ x 2″ pressure treated timber handrails
- 2″ x 2″ pressure treated timber balustrade spindles
Our decks are purposely over engineered for a reason – we want them to last…..for you to enjoy for longer! We will never scrimp and scrape on the quality of the design of build aspect of any decking project as our customer’s safety and satisfaction are paramount. We can design a deck to suit all landscapes, needs and requirements and will happily assist you with ideas should you need them.
